This General Biology Lab works in conjunction with introductory Biology concepts by providing a series of real world, hands-on experiments. This course requires students to complete at home experiments, track and document results, and submit lab assessments. This course starts with an introduction into science, developing a hypothesis, and presenting data. Lab safety concepts are covered, as well as proper ways to handle emergencies. Other topics covered in this Lab are: cell structure and function, photosynthesis, mitosis, mendelian genetics, population genetics, ecology of organisms, and meiosis.
